Taygoara Schiavinoto (b. 1985, Ribeirão Preto, Brazil) is a visual artist and educator. Graduated from the University of São Paulo (USP) with a degree in sculpture in the visual arts. His research explores Brazilian popular culture, non-traditional artistic expressions, and the symbolic instruments of Candomblé from the conceptions of Bacongos and Yoruba culture. As seen through the lens of Afro-Brazilian cultural output, it aims to commemorate both well-known and "forgotten" persons in a celebratory manner. This process generates new symbols, continuing the cycle of innovation and recollection.
