Fernando Otero (Lima, 1972) graduated in Fine Arts at Pontificia Universidad Católica del Peru in 1994. Otero's main reccuring topics include architecture and collected objects which become the raw materials for the production of his art. The artist works within a large range of media including painting, sculpture, installation, and light installation. He had his first solo show in South America in 2004 and most recently at LAMB in 2015 with 'The Building and its Artifacts'. He has presented works at meany revered institutions such as Museo de Bellas Artes in Santiago de Chile, MAC in Lima, the Museum of Latin American Art in California, and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Santiago de Chile. Otero has also won the first prize at PADIS, Lima 2008.
